Pushpa 2: Special Show in Telangana on December 4, Ticket Prices Increased, Millions Earned in Advance Booking

 

The much-awaited film Pushpa: The Rule, starring Allu Arjun, Fahadh Faasil, and Rashmika Mandanna, is set to release on December 5. However, a special screening will be held in Telangana on December 4, ahead of the official release. Advance booking for the movie has already begun in Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru. The Telangana government has allowed the ticket prices to be increased for this special screening.

In Telangana, the state government has granted permission for a special 9:30 PM screening of Pushpa 2 on December 4. The film will be shown in both single-screen theaters and multiplexes. Additionally, ticket prices may rise up to ₹800 for this special screening, which will only apply to the December 4 show.

Ticket Prices in Telangana:

  • Apart from the regular five standard shows, the Telangana government has approved two extra shows at 1 AM and 4 AM on December 4. For these shows, single-screen theaters can increase ticket prices by ₹150 until December 8. The prices will continue to rise, with a ₹105 increase from December 9-16 and ₹20 from December 17-23. After December 23, ticket prices will return to normal.

Government's Approval for Price Hike in Multiplexes:

  • The government has also allowed multiplexes to raise ticket prices during the first week of release. Between December 5-8, multiplexes can increase ticket prices by ₹200, followed by a ₹150 increase from December 9-16, and ₹50 from December 17-23. These price hikes exclude GST.

Pushpa 2 Advance Booking Earnings:

  • The advance booking for Pushpa 2 started on November 30, and reports suggest that around 50,000 tickets have already been sold in India. The total earnings from the advance booking have reached ₹1.51 crore across all languages. The film's runtime is 3 hours and 20 minutes, and it has successfully received a U/A certification. It is anticipated that the film will earn ₹30 crore globally from advance bookings.
