At 82, Jeetendra Celebrates His 50th Wedding Anniversary with a Jaimala Ceremony; Daughter Ekta Kapoor Dances Happily

 

New Delhi: Veteran actor Jeetendra of the film industry celebrated his 50th wedding anniversary on Monday. On this special occasion, the actor and his wife received wishes from their fans and many stars from the industry. The celebration was full of joy, with his daughter, Ekta Kapoor, dancing with her girl gang. A video shared on social media shows Ekta Kapoor, Riddhi Dogra, and the rest of the "girl gang" dancing to the popular song "Ulala" from The Dirty Picture.

The party atmosphere was lively, with Jeetendra and his wife exchanging garlands (jaimala) in the presence of their family and friends. Ekta Kapoor shared a video of the event on Instagram. The celebration took place at their Krishna bungalow in Juhu, Mumbai, and saw several celebrities from the film and television industry joining in.

Celebrities like Sonali Bendre, Anil Kapoor, Padmini Kolhapure, and David Dhawan also attended, adding to the festive vibe. Actress Krystal D'Souza also shared photos and videos from the celebration on her Instagram, where she was seen dancing with Ekta Kapoor and other actresses. She captioned the post, "Last night was filled with love and magic. Here’s a glimpse of us girls with the evergreen bride and groom. Celebrating Shobha’s victory, 50th anniversary."

Ekta Kapoor’s recent production, The Sabarmati Report, has received positive feedback across the country. The film, based on the 2002 Godhra riots in Gujarat, has been declared tax-free in several states, including Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Odisha, and Uttar Pradesh. The film stars Vikrant Massey, Riddhi Dogra, and Raashi Khanna in pivotal roles.
