Despite Earning More, These Three Directors' Movies Became Disasters; One of Them Had a 1000 Crore Film

New Delhi: Action movies have always been a favorite of Bollywood fans. There is a specific audience that enjoys watching high-octane action scenes, with flying cars and villains displaying swag. Due to this, many directors have made a name for themselves as action directors. Their names alone draw people to theaters, and audiences eagerly watch intense action sequences. But how did this year turn out for action directors?

How Has This Year Been for Action Directors?

Siddharth Anand, known for films like Bang Bang and Pathaan, released his film Fighter this year. The movie, which came out earlier in the year, was filled with aerial action and patriotic themes. It also marked the first on-screen pairing of Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone. Fighter became the first film of the year to enter the 300 crore club.

Ayan Mukerji, known for making the Brahmastra films, didn't have any major releases this year.

Ali Abbas Zafar, another renowned action director who has worked on films like Sultan, Tiger Zinda Hai, Bloody Daddy, and Gunday, released Bade Miyan Chote Miyan this year. However, this film did not perform well at the box office.

Rohit Shetty's Release This Year

This year also saw the release of Rohit Shetty's Singham Again. Fans had high expectations from this film, as Shetty is known for creating spectacular action sequences. With Ajay Devgn and Kareena Kapoor leading the cast and a substantial budget, expectations were high. Reportedly, Singham Again was made on a budget of around 350 crores. While the film performed decently, it could not generate the expected profits due to its heavy budget.
