Meanwhile, she expressed her disappointment with Bollywood directors and said that if there were good filmmakers in the industry, she would not have to direct her own films.

Kangana taunted the big directors of Bollywood and said that the way they treat female characters is atrocious. Not only Bollywood, she also expressed her disappointment with the way female protagonists are shown in South films and said that she does not want to be in their place.

According to media reports, during an interview, Kangana Ranaut said, "I am disappointed with the directors around me. We do not have good directors. If we had good directors, I would not have to direct myself. This is not to disrespect anyone, but in all honesty, if you think there is a dream director with whom I want to work, there is no one.

Kangana further said that this has been my case for the last five years. Especially those who are making big films, in which the way women characters are treated is atrocious on another level. There is not a single director in the film industry with whom she wants to work.

According to media reports, Kangana further said in the interview, "Whether it is Queen, Tanu Weds Manu or in my early years I did films like Gangster, Fashion. All my directors in all these films were new. I have never worked in any Khan film or Yash Raj film. Kangana said, "I have been very disappointed with directors, writers and I thought enough is enough. I will do something and do it myself. It has been great."

Kangana cited the example of Shreyas Talpade and Anupam Kher and told how they have done more than just act in Emergency. Kangana said, "Shreyas sir directs, Anupam ji directs. He (Shreyas) is also a good voice artist. Anupam ji is also a coach. I see that when people come from outside, they are very dynamic, but there is no director I want to work with.
