Daliya Khichdi is very tasty to eat and it is also very beneficial for health. In such a situation, we are going to tell you how to make Daliya Khichdi in an easy way, so that you can eliminate your stomach problem by consuming it.

Ingredients for making Daliya Khichdi

Daliya: 1 cup

Moong dal (washed): 1/4 cup

Vegetables (carrot, peas, beans, potato): 1 cup (finely chopped)

Ghee/oil: 1 tbsp

Cumin seeds: 1/2 tsp

Asafoetida: 1 pinch

Ginger (grated): 1/2 tsp

Turmeric powder: 1/4 tsp

Salt: as per taste

Coriander leaves: for garnishing

Method of making

To make Daliya Khichdi, add 1/2 tsp ghee in a pan and fry the Daliya till it becomes light golden brown. On the other hand, wash the Moong Dal and soak it in water for 5 minutes.

After this, heat ghee in a cooker, add cumin seeds and asafoetida to it. When the cumin seeds start crackling, add ginger and turmeric and fry. Add finely chopped vegetables and fry for 2-3 minutes.

Now add roasted Daliya and Moong Dal and mix well. Add 3-4 cups of water and salt as per taste. Close the lid of the cooker and cook till 2-3 whistles. Release the pressure of the cooker.

Mix the Khichdi well. If it is too thick, add some water and warm it slightly. Finally garnish it with green coriander. Serve it with curd, pickle, or papad.
