Deaths: One mistake and 11 thousand deaths occurred in Rajasthan, if you do not take care then next number is yours
The increasing number of road accidents in Rajasthan is becoming a matter of concern for both the government and the public. Despite spending crores of rupees on road safety in the state, no significant reduction in accidents is being seen. Experts believe that improving road engineering and strict adherence to traffic rules is the right solution to prevent these accidents. People do not follow the rules, due to which about 11 thousand people have died in Rajasthan this year.
The death toll is increasing every day
From January to November 2024, 22,934 road accidents were recorded in the state, in which 10,718 people lost their lives. 21,511 people were injured in these accidents. These figures are almost the same as last year, which makes it clear that the efforts so far have not yielded the expected results.
The problem of black spots persists
900 black spots have been identified in the state, which are the main cause of accidents. Improvement work at these places is slow, due to which thousands of people are losing their lives every year. The number of accidents is highest in districts like Jaipur, Udaipur, Sikar and Bikaner. 519 deaths have occurred in Udaipur, 385 in Sikar, 358 in Bikaner, 341 in Alwar, 306 in Ajmer, 300 in Pali district in a year. More than 300 people have also died in Jaipur city.
Accidents increased in December
The month of December is proving to be the most dangerous in terms of accidents. Many major accidents have occurred in Jaipur itself, in which many people have lost their lives. The gas tanker accident in Jaipur's Bhankrota area shook the entire state. Experts say that the number of accidents increases in December due to fog and lack of visibility.
Road safety campaign for caution
It is not that the Rajasthan government does not make efforts to prevent road accidents? Road safety week is celebrated every year in January. In which traffic police, transport department, district administration and other departments in every district inform people about following traffic rules and alert them about accidents. Apart from this, a large amount of money is also spent on road engineering every year. But despite that, people are careless and road accidents happen. Every year the number of new vehicles also increases manifold.
