Drunk story: Drunk wife bit her 61-year-old husband in a dozen places, also threw acid, know the whole story

A 45-year-old woman brutally attacked her 61-year-old husband in Vishwakarma Nagar, Nishatpura in the city on Wednesday morning. The woman bit her husband in about a dozen places, scratched him badly with her nails and also threw acid (toilet cleaner) on him. Although the acid did not touch his body, his clothes definitely got spoiled. The police have arrested the woman. A case of assault and attempted acid attack has been registered.

Investigating officer SI Shrikant Dwivedi said that 61-year-old complainant Narayan Lodhi, a truck driver living in Vishwakarma Nagar, was living with his second wife, 45-year-old Durga Lodhi. Durga has two daughters aged 12 and 14 from his previous marriage. Narayan usually comes home once or twice a week due to his profession.

Acid thrown on the body

SI Dwivedi said that Narayan returned home with essential items at around 10 am on Wednesday. Then he had an argument with his wife over some items missing from the house. The argument escalated so much that Durga physically attacked him, bit him in several places and scratched him badly. Narayan tried to run away, but Durga threw acid on him. Fortunately, the cleaner did not hit Narayan's body, but fell on his clothes. The clothes got slightly burnt.

Durga is addicted to alcohol

Narayan has told the police that Durga is addicted to alcohol. She has attacked him many times before. The police had explained to the couple earlier also, but there was no improvement in Durga's behavior. SI Shrikant Dwivedi said that a case of assault and attempted acid attack has been registered against Durga. He has been arrested. The police is investigating the matter further. Efforts are being made to see what other reasons could be behind this incident. The police is also gathering information about Durga's past behavior and her drinking habit.
