This is a heart-wrenching story of a woman from Badaun. The woman had given birth to five children, but all five were girls. When the woman became pregnant again, the husband started fearing that the child might be a girl again. In such a situation, instead of waiting for the delivery, the husband ripped open the stomach of the wife with a sickle. The woman was carrying a boy in her womb but due to this act of the husband, the child died.

Husband sentenced to life imprisonment
The court has sentenced this husband, who ripped open his wife's stomach with a cleaver, to life imprisonment and a fine of Rs 50,000 after three years. The accused's wife had given birth to five daughters. To see whether the sixth child growing in the womb is a son or a daughter, the drunk husband ripped open her stomach with a cleaver after a quarrel with his wife. Due to the ripped stomach, the baby in the womb died, coincidentally it was a son. The victim's wife is very happy with the court's decision.

The incident happened four years ago
The case is from Mohalla Nekpur of Civil Line police station in Badaun, UP, where Panna Lal, who lives there, ripped open his wife Anita's stomach because he wanted to see whether the child growing in Anita's womb is a son or a daughter. The incident is of 19 September 2020. On the day of the incident, Anita was at her home, during which her husband Panna Lal reached home in a drunken state and started quarreling with her.

Stomach was torn with a cleaver
Anita told that Panna Lal started quarreling with her saying that she has given birth to five daughters till now and the sixth child in the womb is a son and he has to tear open the stomach to see whether it is a daughter or not. Hearing this, the woman got very scared at first, then Anita and her daughters protested but Panna Lal did not listen and tore open the stomach with a cleaver.

The child's leg came out of the stomach
The leg of the 8-month-old child growing in Anita's womb came out due to the stomach tearing. The family members immediately took Anita to the hospital, but from there she was referred to a higher center. Here the doctor saved Anita's life, but the child in the womb died and coincidentally that child was a son. Anita's treatment continued for about 8 months and the police registered a case against Panna Lal under sections 307 and 313 and arrested him and sent him to jail.

Woman and daughters got relief
When the accused came out on bail in March, he started beating Anita and her daughters. But Anita did not compromise. Due to the police's advocacy, after three years, the Badaun court held the accused Panna Lal guilty and sentenced him to life imprisonment and a fine of Rs 50,000. If he does not pay the fine, he will have to undergo 6 months of additional imprisonment. Wife Anita seemed satisfied with the court's sentencing of Panna Lal. Anita also told that ever since Panna Lal committed the crime, she has been living separately from him and she is earning a living by running a grocery shop with her five daughters.
