In such a situation, if you are planning to go to the bank in the first month of the new year i.e. January, then first know on which day the banks will open and when the banks will remain closed. Banks closed for 15 days in January 2025:-

1, 2, 5 and 6 January

January 1 is New Year, so banks will remain closed in some states. Whereas, on January 2, banks will remain closed due to New Year and Mannam Jayanti.

January 5 is Sunday, due to which banks will remain closed across the country. At the same time, banks will remain closed in Haryana and Punjab on the occasion of Guru Gobind Singh Jayanti on January 6.

January 11, 12, 14 and 15

On January 11, due to being the second Saturday of the month, all the banks in the country will remain closed. On the other hand, on January 12, banks will remain closed due to Sunday and Swami Vivekananda Jayanti.

On January 14, banks in some states will remain closed due to Makar Sankranti and Pongal. At the same time, on January 15, there will be a bank holiday in Assam due to Thiruvalluvar Day, Magh Bihu and Makar Sankranti.

16, 19, 22 and 23 January

Banks in Arunachal Pradesh will remain closed on 16 January due to Kanuma Pandugu and on 19 January due to Sunday.

Banks will remain closed on 22 January due to Imoin and on 23 January due to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Jayanti.

25, 26 and 30 January

Banks will remain closed on 25 January due to the fourth Saturday of the month. Whereas, banks will remain closed on 26 January due to Republic Day national holiday.

Banks will remain closed in Sikkim on 30 January due to Sonam Losar.
