Two hours of terror...
Sandeep Goyal told that he and his wife Shalini went to sleep after having dinner at night. At around 1.30 in the night, they heard some sound, first thought that the cat must have jumped on the shed at the back of the house but the sound came again. During this time his wife went to the washroom and he got up from the bed to see that suddenly someone pushed the door of their house with force. Its lock broke. Five to six people entered the house. He got scared after seeing them. The miscreants had covered their faces, some were wearing monkey caps and some were wearing caps. All were thin and tall and young. They had sticks and knives in their hands.
They put the knife on his neck and took him to his room. There they beat him. During this time his wife also came from the washroom, so they took his wife at knife point. First they took out cash from the cupboard of one room which was about five to seven thousand rupees. After this they went to another room and broke the locker of the cupboard and took out gold and silver ornaments. After this the miscreants tied his and his wife's hands with a duvet and their mouths with a cloth.
Even after this the miscreants kicked and punched him. After this the miscreants told him to lie down on the bed with a quilt. While leaving they locked the room from outside. With great difficulty, he opened the cloth tied on his hand and came to the main gate from the back door of the room. He saw that a miscreant locked the main gate of the house from inside and jumped over the wall and left. After this, he woke up his neighbor at around 3:30 and told him about the incident. Then his neighbor informed the police. The miscreants were repeatedly threatening to slit his wife's throat. He was very scared.
He swore in the name of God and children, then his life was saved
The victim told that the miscreants thought that there were lakhs of rupees in his house. They beat him several times to take the money. Even after breaking the lockers of both the cupboards, they said tell me where the money is. He swore in the name of God and children that it is kept in these two cupboards only. After this the miscreants left from there. Sandeep told that he has two daughters. One is married, the other lives in Noida. He lives alone with his wife. His family is scared. He has demanded from the police that police patrolling should be increased in that area because two to three years ago, at some distance from his house in his colony, similar miscreants had entered the house and escaped with jewelry and cash. Jewelry was kept for his daughter's wedding. The miscreants took it away. His wife is a teacher in a private school.
Mobile put on flight mode
The miscreants had taken the mobile from the couple and put it on flight mode and wrapped it in a towel and kept it in the room. In the morning, when their alarm rang, they came to know that the mobile was there. They suspect that only five to six miscreants had entered the house. One or two miscreants were on the roof of the house and one or two were standing in the street as well.
A case has been registered on the complaint of the victim. The FSL team has also collected evidence. Nearby CCTV cameras are being scanned. Soon the miscreants will be caught. - Praveen Kumar, Police Station Incharge, City Police Station.
