The *Gupt Navratri* (Secret Navratri) of the *Ashadha* month is set to begin on July 15, 2026. This year's *Gupt Navratri* is considered highly significant from both religious and astrological perspectives. According to astrologer Pandit Dheeraj Sharma, two rare and auspicious celestial alignments are forming during this year's *Gupt Navratri* after a gap of nearly 12 years. Due to these special alignments, this *Navratri* is deemed extremely fruitful for spiritual practice (*sadhana*), worship, and the fulfillment of wishes.

Pandit Dheeraj Sharma explained that *Gupt Navratri* is regarded as the most important period for worshipping the Goddess, performing *Tantra* practices, attaining spiritual powers (*siddhi*), and conducting special rituals. It is believed that devotees and spiritual seekers who worship the Goddess with full devotion and adherence to prescribed rituals during these nine days receive the special grace of Goddess Bhagwati, and their wishes are fulfilled.

**Conditions for Happiness, Prosperity, and Success in Life**
He noted that the most significant alignment this year is the *Gajakesari Yoga* forming in the Cancer zodiac sign. This auspicious alignment will occur due to the conjunction of the Moon and Jupiter (*Devguru Brihaspati*) during *Gupt Navratri*—an event witnessed after approximately 12 years. In astrology, *Gajakesari Yoga* is considered highly auspicious and a harbinger of good fortune. Consequently, worship, chanting (*japa*), penance (*tapa*), and spiritual practices performed during this alignment are believed to yield manifold auspicious results. He states that under the influence of this alignment, devotees will receive the special grace of Goddess Durga, paving the way for happiness, prosperity, and success in their lives.

**Gupt Navratri Also Begins Under the Pushya Nakshatra**
Pandit Sharma mentioned that this year, *Gupt Navratri* also commences under the *Pushya Nakshatra*, which is considered the best among all *Nakshatras* (lunar mansions). According to religious beliefs, starting any new venture during *Pushya Nakshatra* is deemed extremely auspicious. Tasks initiated during this *Nakshatra* have a higher probability of success. Therefore, if someone wishes to start a new business, make an investment, undertake a religious activity, or begin any other auspicious task, the first day of *Gupt Navratri* would be particularly favorable.

**Special Significance of Gupt Navratri**
He further explained that *Gupt Navratri* holds special significance for the worship and practice (*sadhana*) of the *Dash Mahavidyas* (the ten forms of the Divine Mother). During these nine days, spiritual seekers perform worship, *Tantra* practices, and special rituals dedicated to the ten *Mahavidyas*, including Goddesses Kali, Tara, Tripura Sundari, and Bhuvaneshwari. Religious belief holds that the spiritual practices undertaken during *Gupt Navratri* must be performed in secrecy to yield their full and auspicious benefits. For this reason, *Gupt Navratri* holds special significance for those engaged in *Tantra* and spiritual practices.
