According to the Hindu calendar, Akshaya Tritiya is celebrated every year on the Tritiya Tithi of Shukla Paksha of the month of Vaishakh. This year this auspicious date is on 30th April. This day is considered extremely auspicious and is called 'Abujh Muhurat', that is, any auspicious work can be done on this day without a special Muhurat. Akshaya Tritiya is a very auspicious day in Hinduism. On this day, there is no need to see the Muhurat for any good work. People buy gold, silver, new clothes, jewelry, and other things so that there is prosperity in the house and the blessings of Goddess Lakshmi remain. But do you know that there are some things which are considered inauspicious to bring home on this day? It is believed that if these things are brought home on Akshaya Tritiya, then Goddess Lakshmi can get angry. Let's know what are such things.

1. Do not buy iron things
Iron is considered a heavy and impure metal. Therefore, iron utensils, tools, or furniture should not be bought on this day. On Akshaya Tritiya, iron items should not be brought home even by mistake.
2. Do not bring black colored items
Black color is associated with negativity and Saturn. Bringing black clothes or any black-colored item home on this day is not considered good. Therefore, try to wear red or yellow colored clothes and do not keep any black-colored items.
3. Do not bring broken items home
On Akshaya Tritiya, do not bring any broken items home at all. Keeping broken utensils, glass, or any damaged item in the house is already considered inauspicious. Bringing them home on Akshaya Tritiya can anger Goddess Lakshmi. Therefore, take special care of this.
4. Do not plant thorny plants
Plants with thorns like cactus bring negative energy into the house. It is not right to bring them home on an auspicious day like Akshaya Tritiya. Worship Goddess Tulsi on this day and offer water to her and light a lamp.
5. Do not keep stale sweets or spoiled food
On this day, fresh and clean food is offered to Goddess Lakshmi. Keeping or offering stale sweets or spoiled food in the house is considered impure.

6. Do not buy old or used goods
On this day, it is considered good to start something new. One should not buy old or second-hand goods like old clothes, shoes, or electronic items. Akshaya Tritiya is a very holy day. If we buy the right things and avoid the wrong things, then the special blessings of Goddess Lakshmi remain on us.
