In Hinduism, every *Tithi* (lunar day) and *Vaar* (weekday) is ascribed special significance. The worship of Lord Hanuman is considered the most effective spiritual practice for attaining liberation from life's tribulations. Tuesdays are particularly dear to Bajrangbali; however, when this day falls during the month of *Jyeshtha*, its significance multiplies manifold. This year, the month of *Jyeshtha* features eight occurrences of *Bada Mangal* (Major Tuesday), which are regarded as extremely auspicious occasions for devotees. It is believed that performing worship of Lord Hanuman with proper rituals and rites on these days helps alleviate *Mangal Dosha* (afflictions caused by Mars), mitigate the hardships caused by Saturn (*Shani*), and remove obstacles from one's life. But why exactly is the month of *Jyeshtha* so dear to Lord Hanuman? Let us find out from the renowned astrologer of Ujjain, Acharya Anand Bhardwaj.

According to the Vedic *Panchang* (almanac), the month of *Jyeshtha* is set to be particularly special this time around, as it encompasses a total of eight *Bada Mangals*. Typically, this count stands at four or five; however, the situation has shifted this year due to the occurrence of an *Adhik Maas* (intercalary month). The month of *Jyeshtha* will commence on May 2nd and continue until June 29th; within this period, the *Adhik Maas* will begin on May 17th and last until June 15th. Since this intercalary month falls entirely within the *Jyeshtha* cycle, it is designated as *Jyeshtha Adhik Maas*. Consequently, throughout this entire duration, devotees will have the opportunity to accrue the spiritual merits associated with observing eight *Bada Mangals*.

**The Union of Lord Rama and *Pavan Putra* (Son of the Wind) Hanuman**
In the scriptures, the month of *Jyeshtha* is revered as being profoundly sacred and spiritually meritorious. The Tuesdays falling within this period are considered particularly auspicious, serving as ideal occasions for people to undertake *Mangalik* (auspicious) ceremonies and engage in worship and prayer. It is believed that it was during this auspicious month that Lord Rama and Hanuman—the Son of the Wind—met; consequently, this period holds special significance for the devotion of Lord Hanuman. During the scorching summer heat, offering water to the needy, setting up public water stalls (*pyaus*) at various locations, and cultivating a spirit of selfless service are considered acts of immense spiritual merit. Charitable deeds performed during this month yield manifold rewards and usher in happiness and prosperity in one's life.

**Perform These Remedies on the First 'Bada Mangal'**
If an individual's horoscope contains a *Mangal Dosha* (affliction of Mars), or if the planet Mars is situated in a debilitated or hostile sign, the individual may become prone to accidents—such as physical injuries—or may find themselves constantly dominated by adversaries. Furthermore, the individual may struggle to demonstrate valor or assertiveness. In such circumstances, one should earnestly worship Lord Hanuman. On the first *Bada Mangal* (Great Tuesday) of the month, visit a temple to offer a *Chola* (sacred vestment) to Lord Hanuman and light a *ghee* lamp. Additionally, reciting the *Hanuman Chalisa*, *Sundarkand*, and *Bajrang Baan* helps alleviate the suffering caused by the adverse influences of the planets Mars and Saturn.
