Big update before the 22nd installment of PM Kisan: Lakhs of farmers' names removed, check your status like this..

Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi: Millions of farmers across the country are awaiting the 22nd installment of the PM Kisan Samman Yojana. Under this scheme, eligible farmers are provided financial assistance of ₹2,000 every four months. It's believed the next installment will be released soon, but before that, there's some significant news for many farmers. Following scrutiny, millions of names have been removed from the beneficiary list. Let's find out why:

Why are names being removed?

According to the PM Kisan portal, the government has initiated a re-verification of beneficiaries to bring transparency to the scheme. Two main reasons have emerged.

The first reason: Changes in land records
The documents of farmers who registered land in their names after February 1, 2019, are being re-verified. If the land was not in your name before that date, your eligibility will be confirmed.

Second reason: One beneficiary per family rule

According to the scheme rules, only one person in a family (husband, wife, and minor children) can benefit from this scheme. Investigations revealed that in some families, both the husband and wife were receiving installments. In such cases, payments have been stopped. If the investigation is found to be correct, the withheld amount may be released; otherwise, the old amount may also be withdrawn.

How to check if your name is on the list?

If you are unsure whether your name is on the list, you can check the status from home. To do this:

First, visit the official website pmkisan.gov.in.

Select the 'Beneficiary Status' or 'Know Your Status' option under 'Farmers Corner' on the homepage.

Enter your registration number or mobile number.

Fill in the captcha and click 'Get Data'.

Your complete information will then appear on the screen. Check here whether the e-KYC and Land Seeding status is 'YES'.

When might the 22nd installment arrive?
The government has not yet announced a specific date. However, according to reports, the installment could be released this week or in the first week of March 2026. It is also estimated that ₹2,000 could be transferred to farmers' accounts before Holi.

Complete these important tasks immediately
If you haven't yet completed e-KYC or your bank account isn't linked to Aadhaar, your installment could be delayed. You can complete this task by visiting the nearest CSC center or using face authentication via a mobile app.

So, check your information and make necessary updates in time so that the 22nd installment reaches your account without any interruption.
