Many efforts are being made continuously by the Central Government to improve the health facilities in the country. The aim of these efforts is not only to improve the quality of treatment, but also to make people aware about health. Special attention is being given to the health problems of women, because women often neglect their health. The government is alert about women's cancer, especially breast cancer, and is taking many important steps in this direction.

Central Government's initiative to deal with breast cancer
Union Minister of State for Health Anupriya Patel has announced several important measures to reduce female mortality. She believes that if breast cancer is detected in time, it can save the lives of a large number of women. She said that if breast cancer is identified in the early stages, the mortality rate can be reduced to a great extent by treatment. The Union Minister of State for Health also said that cancer cases are increasing continuously, and it has become a serious health challenge. According to statistics, about 14 lakh new cancer cases are being reported every year in India, out of which about 2 lakh cases are of breast cancer. In this context, she described a healthy lifestyle, awareness, timely detection, and treatment as extremely important.
The problem of breast cancer and its treatment
The problem of breast cancer has become a big challenge in India. This disease is gradually increasing, and due to this, the mortality rate among women is also increasing. Anupriya Patel said that the government is working on this with full seriousness and so far 15 crore women have been screened for breast cancer under the Ayushman Bharat scheme. Apart from this, 200 daycare cancer centers are being opened across the country, so that cancer can be detected early and treatment can start early.
Need to increase awareness
BISI (Breast Imaging Society of India) has worked hard for the last 12 years to increase awareness about breast cancer. This organization has more than 800 members, who are working in this direction. This organization aims to educate people about the early symptoms of breast cancer and provide better training to radiologists.
Early symptoms of breast cancer
It is very important to recognize the early symptoms of breast cancer, because timely detection makes it possible to treat it. Following are some common symptoms of breast cancer:
Feeling a lump in or around the breast – This is the most common symptom. If a woman feels a lump in the breast, it could be a sign of cancer.
Weight loss without any reason – If a woman is losing weight without any apparent reason, it could be another warning sign.
Discharge from the nipple – If there is any abnormal discharge from the nipple, such as bleeding or yellow discharge, it could be a symptom of cancer.
Abnormal changes in the breast – Changes in the shape of the breast, abnormal hardness in the skin, or unevenness in the size of the breast can also be symptoms of breast cancer.

Cancer awareness and effective steps
Amid rising cancer cases, several steps are being taken by the government to spread awareness and encourage women to get screened on time. As part of these efforts, the Ministry of Health is running a comprehensive training program for cancer identification and treatment, which will increase awareness about breast cancer across the country and enable women to identify it in its early stages. Apart from this, women are being encouraged to get regular breast cancer screening done, especially women aged 40 years or above. Programs are also being organized in local communities to spread awareness about breast cancer and provide better treatment facilities.
Continuous efforts of the government
The government has launched several new schemes to make its fight against breast cancer even stronger. Looking at the efforts made by the government in this direction, it can be said that if this continuous effort continues, deaths due to breast cancer can be reduced to a great extent.
