Chaitra Navratri is celebrated from Pratipada to Navami of Shukla Paksha in Chaitra month according to the Hindu calendar.

According to the Panchang, this time the Pratipada date of Shukla Paksha of Chaitra month started on Saturday, March 29 at 04:27 pm and lasted till 12:49 pm on March 30. According to Udia Tithi, Chaitra Navratri has started from Sunday, March 30 and this Navratri will end with Ram Navami on Sunday, April 6.
What to eat during Chaitra Navratri fasting
People fasting during Chaitra Navratri can eat all types of fruits.
You can eat vegetables like potatoes, pumpkin, gourd, cucumber, tomato, spinach, carrots, and sweet potatoes.
You can eat sweets made from dairy products like milk, curd, cheese, and butter.
You can eat dry fruits like almonds, cashews, raisins, and walnuts.
You can eat cereals like buckwheat flour, water chestnut flour, tapioca, and sama rice.
You can eat oils like peanut oil, ghee, or sunflower oil.
You can eat rock salt and sugar.
What not to eat during Chaitra Navratri fasting
Cereals: Do not eat cereals like wheat, rice, and lentils.
Vegetables: Do not eat vegetables like onion and garlic.
Meat, fish, and eggs: Do not eat meat, fish, and eggs.
Alcohol and smoking: Do not consume alcohol and smoke.
Spices: Avoid spices like garam masala, coriander powder, and turmeric powder.
Oil: Avoid oils like sesame oil and mustard oil.
Salt: Avoid using ordinary salt.
Pulses: Consumption of pulses is also prohibited during Navratri.

Rules to complete the fast
During Navratri, eat only satvik food and keep the house and kitchen clean. People observing fast should not let negative thoughts come into their minds and should donate to the needy.
