**People harboring malice**
These are individuals who praise you to your face but secretly resent your progress. If you have worked hard for years to accumulate wealth and are enjoying a comfortable lifestyle, you should not reveal your earnings to those who are jealous of you.

Such people might question your income—labeling you arrogant or merely lucky—and cast a "negative eye" (envy) upon it, which can affect your mental well-being. If you are in business, they might spread false information to your customers, potentially causing your earnings to drop.

**Ignorant or foolish individuals**
A foolish person cannot often distinguish between right and wrong and does not understand the importance of confidentiality. If you trust such a person with details of your income, they might misrepresent the facts to others; this can have a direct impact on your life and potentially reduce your earnings.

If you suffer a setback—such as a business loss or a lack of career advancement—a foolish person might immediately broadcast this to others. It is best to keep your distance from such individuals.

**Selfish individuals**
Acharya Chanakya states that a selfish person can never be a true friend. If you disclose your earnings to such a person, they will start calculating your savings and figuring out how to turn the situation to their own advantage.

Such individuals might extract money from you under various pretexts—whether by asking for a loan or by recounting their personal troubles. You should never enter into a business partnership with such a person; they will constantly look for ways to exploit you and cause you harm.

**The Habitual Critics**
These are people who have a habit of finding fault in everything. You should never reveal your earnings to them.

If you achieve something good, they will downplay or ignore it, yet they will openly highlight your mistakes. Acharya Chanakya states that taking your problems to such people is the height of foolishness. Instead of offering help, they tend to mock you. If you tell them about your income, they will only criticize it.
