Divorce: Cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree Verma got divorced in 45 minutes, when the judge asked the reason, the couple told this reason

National Desk: Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and his wife Dhanashree Verma are now officially separated. According to media reports, their divorce was finalized in Mumbai's Bandra Family Court on 20 February 2025. This decision was taken with mutual consent, due to which both of them chose their separate paths.

There was speculation about divorce for a long time

There were reports of rift in their relationship for several months. Some time ago, Chahal and Dhanashree unfollowed each other on social media, after which speculation about their relationship intensified. However, both of them did not make any public statement during this time. The mandatory counseling session for Chahal and Verma lasted for about 45 minutes in the court session. During this, when questioned by the judge, both the parties confirmed their intention to get divorced by mutual consent. Further inquiry revealed that the two were living separately for 18 months before finalizing their decision. 

Dhanashree Verma's social media post is in discussion

After the divorce, Dhanashree Verma wrote in her Instagram story, "From Stressed to Blessed", in which she talked about maintaining faith and positivity in life. This post is being linked to her divorce.

Will have to pay Rs 60 crore in exchange for divorce

Recently it was also claimed that if the two separate, Chahal will have to pay Rs 60 crore in exchange for divorce. However, this is just speculation and there is no concrete confirmation on this.

They were living separately for several months

According to the news report, Dhanashree reached the court at 11 am on February 20, where after 45 minutes of counseling, both of them stood firm on their decision and got divorced. It is being told that they were living separately for the last few months. However, no official statement has come from Chahal or Dhanashree till now. In fact, when Chahal and Dhanashree were asked about the reason for separation in the court, both cited compatibility issues as the main factor. The final decision to end their marriage was taken by the judge at 4:30 pm, which officially ended their marital bond forever.
