Forget about rice or sago kheer... make apple kheer in just 10 minutes; it’s perfect for fasting days too..

During the monsoon season, one often craves something new, delicious, and sweet. If you wish to make something unique and special this season, you can easily prepare 'Apple Kheer' at home. While rice or sago (sabudana) kheer is commonly made in most households, apple kheer offers a truly unique and exquisite taste. It is incredibly easy to prepare and is ready in just a few minutes.

Preparing the apple: First, wash the apple thoroughly to remove any dirt or impurities. Then, peel the apple and grate it.

Cooking the apple: Heat two spoons of ghee in a pan and add the grated apple. Add sugar to taste and cook over a low flame for about 5 minutes. Once the apple turns a light golden color, turn off the heat and let it cool down completely.

Preparing the milk and nuts: Heat milk in another pan and bring it to a boil. Add coarsely ground cashews, almonds, and fox nuts (makhana) to the milk.

Mixing the ingredients: Once the cooked apple has cooled completely, add it to the boiling milk. Now, cook the milk and apple mixture over a low flame for 5 to 10 minutes, stirring continuously.

Special Tip: Apples have a natural tartness; adding them immediately to hot milk carries a risk of the milk curdling. Always mix the apple into the milk only after it has cooled down completely.
