Consequently, the closing price of gold from yesterday evening will be considered the prevailing rate for today, September 12.

Gold Price Today: What is the price of gold today?
Regarding the latest gold price on the MCX, the gold contract for October 5, 2026, closed 0.08% lower at ₹1,55,900 per 10 grams. In other words, there has been a decline in gold prices on the MCX.
Meanwhile, according to bullion market data, the price of gold today (September 12) stands at ₹1,53,240 per 10 grams.
According to IBJA, the price of 10 grams of 24-carat gold has dropped by ₹1,170 to ₹1,51,938. Globally, the price fell by 0.39% to $4,390 per ounce (Comex gold price).
