Earlier reports suggested that Dhanush and Kareena were in advanced talks for a Hindi film. The project is set to be produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and directed by P.S. Mithran. Mithran, currently busy promoting his new film *Sardar 2*, spoke about the upcoming project involving Kareena and Dhanush. He told *Cinema Vikatan*, "Discussions are underway; we are looking at dates for confirmation. Hopefully, something positive will come out of it."

This project—which has been a topic of discussion in both the Bollywood and South Indian film industries since early August—is being mounted on a grand scale. It is described as a mythological jungle adventure.

**Work on the Script is Currently Underway**
According to *Bollywood Hungama*, the film is currently in the writing stage, and the script has undergone several revisions before reaching its final form. Pre-production work is expected to begin in November 2026, with principal photography scheduled for January 2027. This film will mark Mithran's debut in Hindi cinema. Additionally, it will see Kareena Kapoor Khan and Dhanush sharing the screen together for the first time.

**What Caused the Rift Between Kareena and Sanjay Leela Bhansali?**
This collaboration will also see Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Kareena Kapoor working together again after a falling out in the year 2000. It is worth noting that in the early 2000s, Bhansali had approached Kareena for the film *Devdas*. She even underwent a screen test for the role; however, Bhansali eventually chose Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to play the character of Paro.
