Abhishekam with Saffron-Infused Milk
To remove obstacles in marriage, offer milk mixed with saffron to the Shivling on the night of Mahashivratri. Saffron strengthens both Venus and Jupiter, which are considered the planets responsible for marriage. Chant the mantra 'Om Namah Shivaya' continuously while performing the Abhishekam.

Tying the Knot of Shiva and Parvati
On the night of Mahashivratri, go to a Shiva temple and tie a sacred thread (Kalava) seven times around the idols of Goddess Parvati and Lord Shiva. While doing this, pray silently for a speedy marriage. Performing this ritual creates favorable conditions for marriage.

Turmeric and Bilva Leaf Remedy
Write 'Ram' on all three leaves of a Bilva leaf using yellow sandalwood paste or turmeric and offer them to the Shivling. Turmeric is considered a symbol of auspicious occasions in Hinduism. Offering turmeric to Lord Shiva is prohibited, but offering turmeric at the feet of Goddess Parvati on the night of Shivratri and then applying that turmeric as a tilak on your forehead strengthens the chances of marriage.

Special Worship of Goddess Parvati
Unmarried girls should offer items of marital bliss to Goddess Parvati on the night of Mahashivratri, such as a red dupatta, bangles, henna, and vermilion. Along with this, they should chant the mantra "He Gauri Shankar Ardhangini Yatha Tvam Shankar Priya, Tatha Mam Kuru Kalyani Kanta Kanta Sudurlabham".

Feeding Nandi
Feeding green fodder to Nandi, the vehicle of Lord Shiva, is also considered to remove obstacles. If a planetary defect in your horoscope is causing delays in marriage, whisper your wish into the ear of a Nandi idol on this night. Also, offer jaggery to the idol.
