Money plant leaves are turning yellow and shedding; these simple methods will make the vine lush and green again..

The money plant is a common sight in many households. People often grow it to invite positivity into their homes, but sometimes, its leaves may suddenly start turning yellow.

If your money plant's leaves are turning yellow and falling off, you might be making some care-related mistakes; however, with a few simple remedies, you can restore its lush green appearance.

**Right Amount of Water**
Money plants do not require excessive water, yet people often overwater them. Overwatering causes the roots to rot and the leaves to yellow. Conversely, some people make the mistake of under-watering, which causes the plant to dry out. Therefore, water the plant only when the topsoil feels dry, and ensure the drainage hole is not clogged with debris.

**Right Amount of Sunlight**
Money plants do not need direct sunlight. Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause the leaves to yellow and the plant to wither. Place the plant in a spot that avoids direct sunlight; filtered light near a window is ideal for it.

**Nutrient Deficiency**
Many people only water their money plants, but the leaves can yellow as the soil's nutrients deplete. To keep the plant lush and green, apply a nitrogen-rich fertilizer once or twice a month. You can also add dried tea leaves to the soil.

**Tips to Keep the Plant Lush**
Immediately remove any leaves that have turned yellow. This allows the plant to channel its energy into producing new foliage. Epsom salt can also be very effective in making the plant bushier; the magnesium it contains helps keep the leaves green. To use it, mix one teaspoon of Epsom salt into a liter of water and spray it onto the plant. You can also use a moss stick in the money plant's pot. Keep the moss stick moist at all times so that the plant's aerial roots continue to receive moisture.
