In 2026, the *Pratipada Tithi* (first day) of *Ashwin Krishna Paksha* will begin at 10:18 PM on September 26, 2026; this marks the start of the *Shraddha* period. Pitru Paksha will conclude on October 10, 2026, on the day of *Sarvapitri Amavasya*. According to the scriptures, those who do not know the exact date of their ancestors' passing or are unable to perform the *Shraddha* rituals for any reason can perform *Shraddha* and *Pind Daan* on the day of *Sarvapitri Amavasya*.
