Before the second ODI against England on Sunday at Barabaati Stadium in Cuttack, the players of the Indian team visited Sri Jagannath Puri Dham. Team members including Washington Sundar, Varun Chakraborty, and Akshar Patel reached the 12th-century temple.

Players had a wonderful darshan.
The players reached the temple early in the morning amid tight security and were warmly welcomed by the Sri Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA). The players were taken to the Ratna Singhasan through the Beherana gate, where they worshiped Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Goddess Subhadra.
Puri, one of the four Dhams
After visiting the temple, the players expressed their gratitude for the divine wonderful experience. It is important to mention here that the Jagannath temple is considered to be the Vaikunth of the earth. Jagannath Temple is one of the four Dhams of Hindus. It is believed that the idol of Lord Jagannath has the heart of Lord Krishna. Rath Yatra is organized here every year.
2nd match on February 9
The crucial ODI against England is just a day away. The Indian team would want to carry the divine energy and blessings from the Jagannath temple on the field to make a winning start to the series. Notably, India defeated England by four wickets on February 6. Half-centuries from Shreyas Iyer (59), Shubman Gill (87) and Axar Patel (52) helped India take a 1-0 lead in the first match of the three-match ODI series at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium in Nagpur.
