Say goodbye to period pain: This magical ginger, walnut and jaggery tea will provide instant relief..

Natural remedy for period cramps: Those days of the month are often filled with pain, irritability, and fatigue. We often resort to medication to relieve the pain, but did you know that you can make a magical tea at home that can bring you instant relief? This special blend of ginger, walnuts, and jaggery not only soothes muscle tension but can also help with mood swings. Nutritionist Shweta Shah recently shared this recipe on social media, explaining that it's the easiest way to naturally treat period pain.

Ingredients:

Crushed walnuts: 1 tablespoon
Ginger powder (dry ginger): 1/2 teaspoon
Jaggery: 1 tablespoon (or to taste)
Water: 2 cups

Method of preparation:

Step 1: First, take a clean saucepan and add 2 cups of water. Turn the heat on high and heat the water until large bubbles form. The correct water temperature is essential to ensure that the extracts of the ingredients to be added can dissolve well.

Step 2: When the water begins to boil, add one tablespoon of coarsely crushed walnuts and half a teaspoon of ginger powder (dry ginger). Reduce the heat to low. Let it simmer for 5 to 7 minutes.

Pro tip: Cooking on low heat allows the omega-3s in the walnuts and the anti-inflammatory properties of the ginger to fully absorb into the water. You will notice the water gradually changing color and a pleasant aroma.

Step 3: After 6-7 minutes, when the water has reduced to half or is thoroughly cooked, turn off the heat. Add one tablespoon of jaggery. Remember, jaggery should always be added after turning off the heat to preserve the taste and properties of the drink. Stir with a spoon until the small pieces of jaggery dissolve completely in the water.

Step 4: Strain this mixture into your favorite mug or cup using a strainer. You can chew any remaining walnuts. Drink this drink slowly, sip like tea. Don't drink it too hot; use lukewarm.

How does this recipe work?
Walnuts: Rich in omega-3 fatty acids and magnesium, they relax muscles and reduce inflammation.
Ginger: A natural anti-inflammatory spice that can help reduce pain and nausea during periods.
Jaggery: Jaggery provides instant energy and helps reduce bloating.

This drink will nourish your body while also calming you down during your period pain. The next time cramps strike, just head to the kitchen and whip up this magical drink!
