Suryakumar Yadav Decline In T20I: India's star batsman and T20 team captain Suryakumar Yadav's form has seen a huge decline. Surya, who made his international debut in 2021, stole the show with his brilliant performance in the first three years in T20 International. But then his form graph came down drastically. Last year i.e. 2024 was also nothing special for Surya. He gave a mixed performance last year.
At the same time, in 2025, India's T20 captain has played 2 T20 International matches so far, in which his bat has appeared silent. Let us tell you that Team India is currently playing a five-match T20 series against England. The first two matches of the series have been played, in which the Indian captain flopped. In the first match against England, Surya was out without opening the account. Then in the second match, he scored only 12 runs.
Surya's form has dropped drastically
Surya, who mainly plays T20 cricket for India, made his international debut in 2021 and this year he played 11 T20 International matches, batting in 9 innings and scoring 244 runs at an average of 34.85 and a strike rate of 155.41.
Then in the next year i.e. 2022, Surya's bat spoke loudly. This year, he scored 1164 runs in 31 innings of 31 T20 International matches at an average of 46.56 and a strike rate of 187.43.
After this, Surya showed excellent form in 2023 as well. This year, India's T20 captain played 18 T20 International matches. Batting in 17 innings of these matches, he scored 733 runs at an average of 48.86 and a strike rate of 155.95.
Could not do anything special from 2024
Surya could not do anything special while playing T20 International cricket in 2024. He scored 429 runs in 17 innings of 18 matches at an average of 26.81. This year, no century came from his bat. Now in the first two matches of 2025 also, Surya's bat has appeared silent.
