Sawan is a season of festivities, and during this time, sweets like *Ghevar* are enjoyed with great enthusiasm. However, those following a strict diet or wishing to prioritize their health often have to abstain from these treats.

Here is a healthy way to make a sweet treat that is rich in protein and satisfies your sugar cravings. We are talking about *Barfi* made from roasted chickpeas; the best part is that it can be prepared quickly without even lighting the stove.
**Healthy Roasted Chickpea Barfi**
This *Barfi* made from roasted chickpeas is an excellent source of protein. Let’s look at the recipe:
**Ingredients**
300-400 grams roasted chickpeas
1 cup desiccated coconut
1/2 cup almonds and cashews
2 tablespoons honey or 15-20 medium-sized dates
1/2 cup *Desi Ghee* (clarified butter)
1 teaspoon cardamom powder
1/2 cup water or milk
1 cup milk powder
**Method**
To make the *Barfi*, remove the skins from the roasted chickpeas and set them aside in a bowl.
Next, place the chickpeas in a mixer-grinder and grind them coarsely.
If you wish to avoid refined sugar, you can use natural sweeteners.
You can add 2 tablespoons of honey to the *Barfi* or use dates for sweetness.
If using dates, remove the pits and grind the dates in the mixer.
Mix the milk powder, *ghee*, water, and desiccated coconut into the chickpea mixture.
Thoroughly mix in the honey or the date paste to sweeten the mixture.
Finally, add the cardamom powder.
Transfer the mixture to a plate and let it cool down.
Mix in the cashews and almonds.
Spread the *Barfi* mixture into a tray and set it aside for 2-3 hours to set. Alternatively, you can shape the mixture into a long, thin log and slice it into rounds.
Your roasted gram *barfi*—made without using the stove—is ready.
