Vastu: Never leave these 5 household items out in the open at night; Goddess Lakshmi will be displeased...

Vastu Shastra Rules: According to Vastu Shastra, every object kept in the house influences positive and negative energy. Leaving certain items out in the open, especially at night, is considered inauspicious. It is believed that this can diminish the blessings of Goddess Lakshmi and lead to financial hardship, mental unrest, and family troubles. Vastu experts advise against keeping certain items in open courtyards, on terraces, or near the main entrance after sunset. Doing so can negatively impact the home's prosperity and increase the influence of negative energy. Let us explore what should never be left out in the open at night according to Vastu Shastra...

According to Vastu Shastra, the broom is considered a symbol of Goddess Lakshmi. Leaving it lying around or out in the open at night is deemed highly inauspicious. Furthermore, one should never sweep the house during the evening or at night. It is believed that leaving a broom out in the open at night displeases Goddess Lakshmi and increases the risk of theft or untoward incidents. Therefore, the broom should always be kept in its proper place and covered at night.

Due to fatigue, many of us leave dirty dishes in the sink overnight instead of washing them. However, Vastu Shastra considers leaving dirty dishes out at night to be inauspicious. According to Vastu principles, this habit attracts negative energy. Leaving dirty dishes in the house overnight can lead to poverty and adversely affect health. Therefore, kitchen utensils should be cleaned every day before going to bed.

Vastu experts advise against leaving grains, milk, curd, or other food items out in the open at night. Doing so can cause a 'Chandra Dosh' (Lunar affliction) in one's horoscope and hinder the progress of family members. Additionally, it is considered detrimental to health; leaving food items—including grains and milk—uncovered at night allows bacteria to thrive, thereby increasing the risk of health issues.

Items used for worship—such as lamps, incense sticks, or *Prasad* (offerings made to the deity)—should not be left out in the open overnight. It is considered auspicious to place them respectfully in their proper designated spots. Additionally, leaving a trash can or household garbage near the main entrance or in an open courtyard overnight is considered inauspicious. It is believed that this disrupts positive energy and can hinder the family's progress.

In Vastu Shastra, water is regarded as a source of positive energy. However, leaving a vessel or bucket filled with water outside at night increases the likelihood of negative energy accumulating in the home. Doing so can invite problems related to wealth and health.

Many people carelessly leave their wallets or safe keys lying around overnight. According to Vastu Shastra, this practice can lead to financial loss. Money and safe keys should always be kept in a secure place at night.
