The popular reality show 'Bigg Boss 20' premieres this week. Additionally, several compelling films and series are lined up for release. Here is a look at the list:

Bigg Boss 20
The biggest highlight of the week is the popular reality show 'Bigg Boss 20', which kicks off this week. Salman Khan returns as the host. The show premieres on JioHotstar on September 6, 2026. There are several unique elements this season, including a 'Karan-Arjun' style twist and a concept involving a 'Vardan' (boon/blessing).

DC
The film 'DC', starring Wamiqa Gabbi and Lokesh Kanagaraj, is ready for its digital debut following its theatrical run. Directed by Arun Matheswaran, this action-thriller was released in theaters on August 7 and will begin streaming on Sun NXT on September 4. The film will be available in Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam; audiences in the Hindi-speaking regions will have to wait a little longer.

The Court
If you enjoy courtroom dramas, this series is one to watch this week. 'The Court' is a Tamil series centered on Yazhini, a young lawyer who stutters. Her father is also a renowned lawyer, and the story sees Yazhini facing off against him. The series premieres on JioHotstar on September 4, 2026.

'Unmadam'
This is a Malayalam-language psychological crime thriller. Originally released in theaters on July 31, 2026, it is now making its way to OTT. Starring Kunchacko Boban and Lijomol Jose, the film will stream on SonyLIV starting September 4, 2026. The film also features actors such as Siddique, Krishna Prabha, Vishak Nair, Sudheesh, and Sabumon Abdusamad in key roles. It is directed by Kiran Das.

'Gandhari'
The film 'Gandhari', starring Taapsee Pannu, is set to arrive on OTT this week. Directed by Devashish Makhija, the film features Taapsee Pannu as a mother whose daughter is kidnapped. Taapsee loses her eyesight but undergoes special training to set out in search of her daughter. The film also stars Ishwak, Chhaya Kadam, and Swastika Mukherjee. 'Gandhari' will be released on OTT starting September 3rd.

The Gentlemen Season 2
This is a British comedy series. The second season is arriving this week; the first season was widely appreciated. 'The Gentlemen' Season 2 will premiere on Netflix starting September 3rd.

The Hard Corps
This action-adventure film is also releasing this week. It tells the story of a former soldier who returns from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and is subsequently hired as a bodyguard to protect a champion boxer. The film will stream on Netflix starting September 3rd.

Common Man Kanho
This is a Gujarati-language series. It depicts Lord Shri Krishna descending to Earth to resolve human problems while living like an ordinary person. The series will be released on Jio Hotstar on September 2nd, two days before the Janmashtami festival. However, it will be available only in the Gujarati language.

Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu
If you are interested in science fiction, this is a title worth watching this week. The film was released in theaters in May of this year and is now ready for its OTT debut. It will stream on Jio Hotstar starting September 2nd.
