The time to use the air conditioner is coming soon. After Holi, the summer season will start. In such a situation, many people will turn on their air conditioners, but many times the air conditioner does not cool like the previous season.

In such a situation, it is natural that you will call the air conditioner mechanic to fix it and the mechanic will tell you some problem in your AC. The most common of these is that the mechanic says that there is less gas in the AC.
You can check the gas in the AC yourself.
If the air conditioner mechanic tells you that there is a lack of gas in your AC, then you can check it yourself, for this, you can use some techniques, which we are telling you in detail here.
Is cold air coming or not: If the air is not getting cold even after turning on the AC or the coolness is gradually decreasing, then the gas may be less.
Compressor sound and movement: When you turn on the AC, notice whether the compressor is turning on and off repeatedly or not. If the compressor is running continuously but there is no cooling, then there may be a gas leak.
Ice formation on pipes: If there is ice formation on the pipes of the indoor unit or outdoor unit of the AC, then it may be a sign of gas shortage.
Checking with low-pressure gauge: If you have a low-pressure gauge, then you can check the refrigerant pressure with it. Normally, domestic ACs should have 60-70 PSI (R22 gas) or 110-120 PSI (R410A gas).
Signs of oil or gas leak: If there are signs of oil around the outdoor unit, then it may be a sign of a gas leak.
If any of these symptoms are visible, then the AC may be low on gas and will need to be refilled. Before the mechanic misleads you, check these things yourself.
