Adhik Maas Shivratri 2026: While the Shivratri of every month is considered special, the Chaturdashi Tithi (14th day) of the Krishna Paksha during the *Jyeshtha Adhik Maas* (an extra lunar month) is deemed the most auspicious. Since *Adhik Maas* occurs roughly once every three years, fasts observed during this period are considered highly significant and capable of yielding manifold blessings. For this reason, performing *Jalabhishek* (ritual bathing with water) on the Shivling during this specific monthly Shivratri pleases Lord Bholenath quickly. In 2026, this *Adhik Maas* monthly Shivratri falls on Saturday, June 13. Worshipping Lord Shiva and performing *Abhishek* with proper rituals on this day helps the devotee attain their desired wishes. Let us learn about the complete worship procedure for this day.
