Following in the footsteps of Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the multi-talented Bollywood director Rajkumar Hirani is also venturing into the OTT space. The *3 Idiots* director is set to make his OTT debut with the web series *Pritam and Pedro*; its trailer was released recently.

This series marks not only Rajkumar Hirani's OTT debut but also sees Veer—who played the character 'Chhota Circuit' in *Munna Bhai M.B.B.S.*—trying his hand at acting. Hirani shared the story behind how he got the idea to create a series on cybercrime.

**Call from the Mumbai Cyber ​​Cell Chief**
Speaking at the recent trailer launch of *Pritam and Pedro*, Rajkumar Hirani revealed that the idea to create a series on the subject of the cyber cell came to him during the lockdown. The director said, "During COVID, I received a call from the head of the Mumbai Cyber ​​Cell. They wanted to make a film about cybercrime, but no one was working on the subject. I asked them to share the idea with me, saying I could work on it from home."

Rajkumar Hirani added, "It was during this time that I met Amit Dubey. He gave me a book of his short stories, which contained several ideas that could be adapted into short films."

**Rajkumar Hirani's Son to Make Acting Debut**
With this cybercrime-themed series, director Rajkumar Hirani's son, Veer Hirani, is set to make a splashy debut as a young actor. He had previously played the character 'Chhota Circuit' in the Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi starrer *Munna Bhai M.B.B.S.*

Apart from him, the series features Arshad Warsi, Boman Irani, Mona Singh, and Vikrant Massey in lead roles. Following *Sector 36*, Vikrant Massey will once again be seen playing a negative role. The series is scheduled to release on Jio Hotstar on July 3.
