Akshay Kumar is set to collaborate with Neeraj Pandey for the fifth time. The duo has previously worked together on films such as *Special 26*, *Baby*, *Toilet: Ek Prem Katha*, and *Naam Shabana*. They are now reuniting for the filmmaker's next project—a biopic on RD Burman.

According to media reports, Farhan Akhtar will portray Burman in the upcoming film. Akshay will appear in a special role in this musical movie; although his part is brief, he will be a crucial element of the biopic.

A Pinkvilla report states that Akshay and Neeraj are reuniting for this biopic after nearly a decade. It did not take much effort to convince Akshay to take on the role in Pandey's film. His character will hold significant importance in the storyline.

Pandey is directing the biopic, and Farhan's Excel Entertainment is co-producing the feature film. The musical is currently in the pre-production stage, with the team working on the music to recreate the legendary composer's timeless songs. Filming is expected to commence in September.
