Amarnath Yatra Dates: The dates for registration for this year's Amarnath Yatra have been announced. Devotees can begin registering for the pilgrimage to seek *darshan* (sacred sight) of the deity starting April 15. According to the Shri Amarnath Ji Shrine Board, pilgrims can register through 554 designated bank branches located across the country. Yatra permits will also be issued on this basis. Every year, hundreds of thousands of devotees undertake the Amarnath Yatra to seek the blessings of 'Baba Barfani' (the Ice Lord). People from various parts of the nation set out on this journey to visit the holy Amarnath Cave. The government arranges for stringent security measures along every route of the Amarnath Yatra to ensure that no pilgrim faces any difficulties and to prevent any untoward incidents. Devotees are also urged to strictly adhere to all safety regulations.

If you choose to travel by helicopter, the cost from Baltal or Pahalgam may range from ₹25,000 to ₹45,000. One can reach the shrine by foot, palanquin, horseback, or helicopter. Access to the site is restricted to individuals aged between 13 and 70 years, who are also required to carry their health certificates with them.
