Rules for lighting 14 lamps on Anant Chaturdashi

1. First of all, take 14 lamps of clay or brass. Clean them well.

2. You should use cow ghee in those lamps. If there is no arrangement of ghee, then mustard oil can also be used.

3. Put a wick made of cotton in those lamps and fill them with ghee or oil.

4. Light all these lamps at the time of Anant Chaturdashi worship in Pradosh Kaal and place them at 14 places in the house.

Where to place the lamps of Anant Chaturdashi in the house?

1. Place one lamp of Anant Chaturdashi in the puja room near Lord Vishnu and Mata Lakshmi.

2. Place the second lamp in the place of Mata Annapurna, i.e., in the kitchen.

3. You should place the third lamp near the Tulsi altar. Tulsi is Vishnupriya.

4. Place the fourth lamp of Anant Chaturdashi at the main door.

5. Place the fifth lamp near the safe or money place of the house.

5. You can place the sixth lamp near your bathroom.

6. Place the seventh lamp near the water tap.

7. Place one lamp at each of the four corners of the house.

8. Keep the twelfth lamp outside the house for your ancestors.

9. Keep the thirteenth lamp on the stairs of the house.
