Subhash Ghai has given audiences many acclaimed films, including "Kalicharan," "Hero," "Khalnayak," and "Saudagar." What if audiences could see animated shows and films based on these iconic films? If you're imagining it, this dream is about to come true. Subhash Ghai's company, Mukta Arts, and Green Gold Animation have signed an agreement.

Mukta Arts signs MOU with Green Gold Animation.
Subhash Ghai's Mukta Arts Limited and animation company, Green Gold Animation, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). Under this agreement, Green Gold will collaborate on the development and production of animated shows and feature films based on Subhash Ghai's Mukta Arts' renowned intellectual property portfolio.
New animated content will also be created.
In fact, as part of its strategic expansion plan in the animation world, Mukta Arts launched SGM Animation Studio in 2025. It is the company's animation and games division. The studio focuses on the development, production, and co-production of animated films, series, comic books, and games. It will also create new original properties using Mukta Arts' rich intellectual property (IP) library, built over four decades. The content will be inspired by the company's storytelling legacy.
Animated shows and films will be based on these films.
Under this MOU, Mukta Arts and Green Gold Animation will jointly develop several animated IPs inspired by Mukta Arts' iconic films. These will include Kalicharan, Karz, Hero, Karma, Ram Lakhan, Khalnayak, Saudagar, and Iqbal, among others, along with spin-offs based on these characters. Speaking on the collaboration, Rajiv Chilaka, Founder and CEO of Green Gold Animation, said, "This partnership with SGM Studios allows us to apply our experience in creating long-lasting animation IP to an iconic film catalog." Together, we want to create an animated world that connects with these remarkable stories and resonates with today's young, global audience.
What did Subhash Ghai say?
