AAI Flybrary Scheme: The Airport Authority of India has come up with a very special and interesting scheme for its passengers. To take advantage of this scheme, you have to come to the Flybrary area built in the airport terminal. After coming to the Flybrary area, pick up the special things present there and understand them, if you like them, then take them with you home or go on a trip. Yes, before taking this special thing, you will have to make a special promise.

Airport Authority of India (AAI) has started Flybrary from Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar. With the start of this scheme, Bhubaneswar Airport has become the first airport in the country from where such a unique initiative is being started. Under the scheme, a Flybrary area has been created in the departure and arrival areas of the airport. The best books in Hindi, English, and Oriya languages have been made available in this Flybrary area.
In return for taking the books of your choice here, you will also have to make a promise. According to this promise, whenever you return from the trip or go on the next trip, you will return the book taken from the Flybrary.
AAI created Flybrary with the help of Bakul Foundation
The Airport Authority of India is taking this unique initiative forward with the help of the Bakul Foundation. A collection of more than 600 books has been made available for the passengers in this library. Which includes novels, magazines, self-help books and children's literary works. All these books have been made available in English, Hindi and Oriya. Bhubaneswar Airport Flybrary Library has two shelves - one in the departures area and the other in the arrivals area.
It was started on Pravasi Bharatiya Divas.
This initiative named Flybrary was started on the occasion of Pravasi Bharatiya Divas. According to a senior officer of BBI Airport, passengers showed a lot of interest in this scheme on Pravasi Bharatiya Divas, after which it was decided to continue this scheme further. He said that a large number of passengers are taking books from the Flybrary every day. Volunteers of Bakul Foundation come to the airport for an hour every day and fill the empty book shelves with books and leave.
You can also donate your books
According to Sujit Mahapatra, founder of Bakul Foundation, the idea of a library at the airport was in his mind for years. Passengers are not only liking his initiative at Bhubaneswar Airport, but are also reading the books present in the Flybrary with interest. He said that filling the book shelves is a challenging task. However, he hopes that this problem can be resolved in the coming few months, because passengers themselves will start donating these books at the airport. He has also appealed to passengers to contribute their books to the library so that the shelves can be replenished naturally.
