Chaitra Navratri 2025: Chaitra Navratri is starting from 30 March 2025. Navratri is a festival of goddess worship in which nine forms of Goddess Durga are worshiped for nine days. During this time people go to visit the Devi Mata temples located around them. There are many ancient and miraculous Devi Mata temples in India, some of which are Siddha Shaktipeeths. Shaktipeeths are called those holy places where the body parts of Goddess Sati fell. Maa Vindhyavasini Temple in Mirzapur
This temple is located in Mirzapur district of Uttar Pradesh. Situated on Vindhyachal mountain, this temple is also known as Vindhyavasini, where the Mahamaya form of the goddess is worshipped. It is believed that after killing the demon Mahisasur, the goddess resided on the Vindhyachal mountain. A large number of devotees have faith in the temple. It is said that this temple will exist even after the creation of the universe. There is a crowd of devotees here throughout the year.
Mata Lalita Devi Temple in Sitapur
Naimish Dham located in Misrikh in Sitapur district of Uttar Pradesh is considered one of the most sacred places. Here is the temple of Maa Lalita Devi, which is one of the 52 Shaktipeeths. It is believed that the heart of Mata Sati fell here. Devotees reach here from far and wide. A fair-like event is organized here on Navratri.
Devipatan Temple in Balrampur
One of the 52 Siddha Shaktipeeths is located in Balrampur district, which is famous as Devi Patan Temple. In this Shakti Peeth situated in Tulsipur, the left shoulder of Mata Sati fell. Hence this place was called Patan. Here Mata Mateshwari form is worshipped. A grand event is organized here on Navratri. Devotees from nearby districts reach Devipatan temple for darshan.

Maa Tarkulha Temple in Gorakhpur
There is Tarkulha Temple in Gorakhpur. The story of the miracles of the goddess is popular in this temple. It is believed that during the freedom struggle, when the British used to pass by the temple, the revolutionary Bandhu Singh used to cut off their heads and dedicate them to the goddess. The British caught Bandhu Singh and sentenced him to death. When the executioner started hanging Bandhu Singh, the noose of the hanging broke 6 times. On which the executioner pleaded with Bandhu Singh that if he was not hanged, the British will kill him. On this, Bandhu Singh remembered the goddess and he was hanged for the seventh time.
