Chaitra Purnima 2025: The Purnima date is considered very sacred in Hinduism. There is a full moon every month. Chaitra month is going on right now. This month will end on the full moon day. Udaya Tithi is considered in Hinduism. In such a situation, according to Udaya Tithi, Chaitra Purnima will be celebrated on 13th April.

Method of Pind Daan

On the day of Chaitra Amavasya, first of all, take a bath and wear clean clothes. Then make an altar and place the picture of the ancestors on it. Then place black sesame seeds, barley, rice, and kasha on the altar. After this, make a pind from cow dung, flour, sesame, and barley. Then offer that pind to the ancestors. Chant the mantras of the ancestors. Offer water to them. Keep in mind that always perform the Pind Daan of the ancestors in the presence of a knowledgeable priest. After Pind Daan, feed the Brahmins and also give them donations.

Rules of Pind Daan

Offer Pind Daan to your ancestors by going to the banks of the Ganga or any other holy river. Always offer Pind Daan during the afternoon. Afternoon is considered the best time for offering Pind Daan to your ancestors. While offering Pind Daan, meditate on your ancestors. Pray for their blessings.
