These four months are considered the most suitable time for spiritual practice (*Sadhana*), fasting (*Vrat*), and contemplation.

During Chaturmas, Lord Vishnu remains in *Yoganidra* for four months, leading to a suspension of all auspicious ceremonies. The period emphasizes devotion, spiritual practice, and the chanting of mantras. Sages and saints often remain in one place to perform their spiritual practices throughout this period. Worship and meditation during these months are believed to yield great spiritual rewards.

What to do during Chaturmas
Worship Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi every day, both in the morning and in the evening.
Reciting the Vishnu Sahasranama, the Bhagavad Gita, and the Ramcharitmanas during this period is considered auspicious.
Refrain from anger and negative thoughts.
