The very mention of pizza makes everyone's mouth water, from children to adults. People often believe that an oven is essential for making the perfect pizza, but the truth is, you can make a perfectly crispy and cheesy pizza right in your kitchen using a simple pan or skillet. Let's learn the easiest step-by-step recipe for making pizza at home without an oven.

Ingredients
For the pizza base:
All-purpose flour - 2 cups
Yogurt - ½ cup (fresh)
Baking powder - 1 teaspoon
Baking soda - ½ teaspoon
Sugar and salt - to taste
Oil - 2 tablespoons
For the topping:
Pizza sauce - 3-4 tablespoons
Mozzarella cheese - grated
Vegetables - bell peppers, onions, sweet corn, tomatoes
Chili flakes and oregano
Instructions
First, sift the all-purpose flour into a large bowl. Add baking powder, baking soda, salt, sugar, and oil. Now, knead a soft dough using the yogurt. Make sure the dough is neither too stiff nor too wet. Cover it and keep it in a warm place for about 30-45 minutes so that the dough rises.
To create an oven effect, take a deep, heavy-bottomed pan. Spread 1 cup of salt at the bottom. Now, place a stand or a small bowl in the center. Cover the pan with a lid and preheat it on high heat for 10 minutes.
Take a large ball of dough and roll it out slightly thick using corn flour or all-purpose flour. Now take a steel plate that fits easily into your pan. Grease the plate with a little oil and place the rolled-out base on it. Prick the base with a fork to prevent the pizza from puffing up like a roti (flatbread).
First, spread the pizza sauce on the base. Sprinkle a generous amount of mozzarella cheese over it, arrange your favorite vegetables, and add a little more cheese on top.
Carefully place the plate on the stand inside the pan. Cover the pan tightly with a lid to prevent steam from escaping. Now let it cook on medium heat for 12-15 minutes. When the cheese is completely melted and the edges start to look golden, your pizza is ready.
Some special tips:
Using salt - The salt added to the pan may turn black, but don't throw it away; it can be reused for baking multiple times.
Vegetable crunch - Don't chop the vegetables too finely; keeping them slightly larger will keep them crunchy.
Tawa pizza - If you are making it on a tawa (griddle), use low heat and cover it with a deep plate.
