Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has made Vicky Kaushal's film 'Chhava' tax-free. The film is based on the life of the great Maratha ruler Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj.

CM Mohan Yadav announced
This was announced on the occasion of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's birth anniversary. The Chief Minister wrote on his social media platform X, "On the occasion of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's birth anniversary, I announce the declaration of the Hindi film 'Chhava' based on the life of his son Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj as tax-free."
Devendra Fadnavis said this about Chhava
Earlier, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis also welcomed the appeal to make the film Chhava tax-free. He praised the historical presentation of the film and said that he had heard good feedback about the film from the public. CM Fadnavis said, "I am happy that a very good film has been made on the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. Although, I have not seen it yet, the feedback I have received shows that history has not been distorted in this film." Along with this, Fadnavis also informed that Maharashtra had already removed the entertainment tax in 2017 and now they will see how the film can be made accessible to more and more people.

The film 'Chhava' is directed by Laxman Utekar. The film is produced by Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films. Vicky Kaushal has played the role of Sambhaji Maharaj in the film. Apart from this, Rashmika Mandanna has played Yesubai Bhosle, Akshay Khanna has played Aurangzeb, Diana Penty has played Jinat-un-Nisa Begum, Divya Dutta has played Soyrabai, Vineet Kumar Singh has played Kavi Kalash and Ashutosh Rana has played Hambirrao Mohite.

This film is an adaptation of Shivaji Sawant's Marathi novel 'Chhava'. It has received positive response from both audiences and critics. The film was released on February 14. It has rocked the box office in six days. According to the latest figures, the film has so far earned more than Rs 191 crore.
