Konark Sun Temple (Odisha)

A UNESCO World Heritage Site, this temple embodies the grandeur of the Sun God. Dedicated to the Sun God, Konark was built in the 13th century by Narasimha Deva I, ruler of the Ganga Dynasty. Due to its architectural brilliance and its evidence of the spread of worship of the Sun God from Kashmir to eastern India, it was included in the UNESCO World Heritage Site list in 1984.

Modhera Sun Temple, Gujarat
