DA Hike: Thsi state Government Increases Dearness Allowance by 3% – Effective from April 1, 2025

Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha has announced a 3% increase in Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief (DR) for state government employees and pensioners. This decision was made following the presentation of the Tripura State Budget for 2025-26. The revised DA will increase from 30% to 33%, and the new rates will be effective from April 1, 2025.

A day before this announcement, Tripura Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy presented the state budget for 2025-26, with a total financial outlay of ₹32,423.44 crore.

🔹 Ahead of the budget session, a meeting of the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) was held under the chairmanship of Tripura Assembly Speaker Biswabandhu Sen.
🔹 The meeting was attended by state ministers, Chief Whip Kalyani Saha Roy, and opposition leaders, including Leader of the Opposition Jitendra Choudhury.
🔹 Later in the evening, another meeting was held at Chief Minister Manik Saha’s residence, where ruling party ministers and legislators discussed key budget strategies.
