What is the 'Daayra' trailer like?
The trailer for the Meghna Gulzar-directed film 'Daayra' was released today, August 31. It opens with a criminal being transported in a police van through a dark area. He asks, "Why have you brought me here?" Prithviraj Sukumaran’s voice replies, "I'll tell you."
In the very next scene, Prithviraj Sukumaran explains the reason for the criminal's encounter at a press conference, stating that the accused tried to escape at the first opportunity and attacked their team; the police killed him in self-defense.

Kareena Kapoor investigates from the beginning
The question arises: was this a staged police encounter? Kareena Kapoor then visits the victim's family and inquires about the incident from the very beginning, asking what exactly happened on October 7. It is revealed that a mother had gone to the police station to report her missing daughter and file an FIR. During the investigation, it comes to light that the missing girl had been sexually assaulted, and the accused is a minor.

When will 'Daayra' be released?
Both Prithviraj and Kareena Kapoor investigate the case, though their methods differ. An SIT (Special Investigation Team) is also formed. What happens next will be revealed upon watching the film. This is a crime-suspense thriller produced under the banners of Pen Studios and Junglee Pictures. The film is scheduled for release on September 18.
