Shooting incident in Delhi: Young man enraged by woman's refusal, attacked house with his friends
An incident of shooting a woman came to light in Bindapur area of Delhi on the night of 9 February at around 10:30 pm. 22-year-old accused Aditya, along with his friends, first pelted stones at the woman's house and then shot her.
The seriously injured woman was immediately admitted to Indira Gandhi Hospital in Dwarka. Police have intensified the investigation of the incident and arrested two accused, while the search for other absconding accused is on.
How did the dispute happen, why was the shot fired?
According to the police, the injured woman has been identified as Vidya. Investigation revealed that on the day of the incident, Vidya's son Jitendra had a fight with Aditya. After the fight, Aditya and his family demanded an apology from Vidya and Jitendra, which they refused.
Angry at not getting an apology, Aditya, along with his friends, pelted stones at Vidya's house and then shot her in anger.
Police action: Two accused arrested, four still absconding
Immediately after the incident, the police took action and arrested Aditya (22) and Sunil Kumar (53). At present, the search is on for four other accused, for whose arrest the police is continuously conducting raids.
Police reached the spot, investigation continues
Bindapur police station received information about the firing at 10:30 pm, after which the police reached the spot. The injured woman was immediately sent to the hospital, where her condition is still critical.
The police is investigating the matter further and raids are being conducted continuously to arrest other accused.
This incident raises serious questions about the law and order in the capital Delhi. The prompt action of the police has taken two accused into custody, but arrest of all the culprits is imperative to ensure justice to the victim.
