Ingredients

1 cup fine semolina

A little less than 1 cup fresh cream

1/4 teaspoon ground fennel powder

1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder

1 pinch nutmeg powder

1/4 teaspoon cinnamon powder

1/4 teaspoon baking powder

Half cup powdered sugar

Recipe

- Put all the ingredients in a bowl and mix them well. Now prepare a smooth batter by adding milk.

- It will take about 1 cup of milk, out of which save 1/4 cup of milk. Now keep the batter aside for half an hour to swell and on the other hand prepare the syrup for Malpua.

- To make the syrup, take one and a half cups of sugar and one cup of water. Make a one-string syrup on medium flame. That is, by the time the sugar simmers, the syrup will be ready.

- Now check the batter mix the remaining milk with the semolina and stir again. The batter for Malpua should be a little thick.

- If the batter is too thick, you can add more milk to it. Now place a flat-bottomed pan on the gas and heat the oil in it on medium flame.

- Pour 1 spoon of batter in the oil which will start spreading as soon as it is added. Keep the flame of the gas medium. Now fry the Malpua by pouring oil on it and then flip the Malpua.

- Now fry the light golden brown Malpua from both sides and then take it out. Remove the extra oil by pressing the Malpua with tissue paper and then put it in the syrup while it is still hot.

- After some time of putting it in the syrup, take out the Malpua keep it on a plate, and garnish it with cashews and pistachios on top.
