2. We often lend household items. However, on this day, sugar should never be lent to anyone, as sugar is directly associated with Goddess Lakshmi. Sugarcane is a favorite offering to Goddess Lakshmi. Therefore, avoid removing sugar from your home on the evening of Dhanteras, or lending it to anyone. This could anger Goddess Lakshmi.

3. Salt is a common commodity found in every home, but lending salt to anyone on Dhanteras evening should be avoided. Salt comes from the sea, and Goddess Lakshmi has a deep connection with the ocean. Therefore, lending salt to someone on Dhanteras evening could hinder the prosperity of your home and could lead to financial hardship.

4. Worshiping Goddess Lakshmi is a tradition on this day. Therefore, on this day, i.e., on the evening of Dhanteras, do not lend anything like milk, yogurt, oil, or needles to anyone, or even borrow these items from someone else's home. This can worsen your planetary positions and have a very negative impact on your life, increasing your problems.
