Diljit Dosanjh was scheduled to perform at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium (JLN) in Delhi on October 30. His 'Aura India Tour' was set to kick off in Delhi, and ticket sales had already begun; however, it now appears that this concert will not take place.
In fact, the Delhi Police has not granted permission for Diljit Dosanjh's concert. Originally, the event was planned for November 1, but it was rescheduled to October 30 due to sensitivities surrounding the anniversary of the 1984 anti-Sikh riots. Now, however, it has been postponed.
Will Diljit Dosanjh's concert not take place?
According to the *Hindustan Times*, a letter addressed to BookMyShow from the office of the Deputy Commissioner of Police (South District) states: "With reference to your application dated October 14, 2026, you are informed that your request to host 'Diljit Dosanjh's Aura India Tour Delhi' at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, New Delhi, on October 30, 2026, has been reviewed by our office."
Why was Diljit's concert denied approval?
The letter further explains: "Due to specific security-related threat inputs, the ongoing festive season—which entails various security and law-and-order responsibilities—and other significant law-and-order concerns, this request cannot be approved."
